 The standard 2.0-liter inline-4 engine of the new Hyundai Veloster delivers 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque with Front-Wheel Drive and six-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed automatic transmission is available, which maximizes the EPA fuel economy to 34 MPG on the highway and 27 MPG in the city. Also available is the 1.6-liter Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection inline-4 engine that puts out 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed EcoShift® Dual Clutch Transmission is available. Both engines rely on Dual Overhead Cams and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing.
 

Only available with the N trim, a 2.0 T-Gasoline Direct Injection 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine thrills with 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Its six-speed manual transmission features automatic rev-matching for smoother downshifts. Camden, NJ drivers can manage the Variable Exhaust Valve System to roar in three modes: Normal for controlled levels, Sport for more aggression, and Sport+ for the most thunderous sound.

 

Safety

 The 2020 Hyundai Veloster monitors your environment to warn you of hazards and, in some cases, mitigate them. The following are some of its safety technologies.

This touchscreen also controls the music from the available Infinity® Premium Audio System, which comes with an external amplifier and eight speakers that include a subwoofer. Your entertainment sources can derive from HD Radio™ or SiriusXM Satellite Radio, which covers ad-free music stations, live pro sports, and exclusive celebrity talk.

 

Interior

 Seating for five inside the new Hyundai Veloster can be upholstered in premium cloth, cloth insert with leather bolsters, or leather. Also available is leather around steering wheel and shift knob. The driver seat power adjusts in up to six ways including height and lumbar support. The rear seat folds down in a 60/40-split to increase cargo volume from 19.9 to 44.5 cubic feet.
 

Keeping everybody comfortable is available Automatic Temperature Control and available built-in heating for the front seats. You won't have to take your keys out of your pocket with the available Proximity Key on you. Just pull on a door handle to unlock the door and then rev up the engine by pressing the Start button.
